Become a Trustee

We are looking to appoint two new trustees with experience in one or more of the following areas: charity governance, healthcare, fundraising, finance, law, creative health/arts and care for older people.

We welcome applications from people who have never been trustees before as well as experienced trustees. Our trustees can be based anywhere in the UK. Trustees will be appointed on a three-year term, with the option to extend at the end of that time.

Trustees meet four times a year, with two meetings in person, held either in Newcastle-upon-Tyne or London and two meetings taking place online. It is essential for Trustees to be available in July for the AGM, which is held in London.

This is a voluntary and unpaid role. Standard-class travel expenses and, if required to attend meetings, accommodation costs will be covered by the Foundation but costs must be agreed in advance. Accommodation will be booked by the secretary.

If you are interested in applying to be a trustee, please send a covering letter and CV to wgedwardscharity@icloud.com explaining why you are interested in this role.
