The trustees of the Abbeyfield in Reading wished to improve garden facilities for the benefit of its 28 elderly residents. A grant of £2000 was given for a specially adapted potting shed located to overlook the garden. The potting shed was constructed with easy access for those with wheelchairs and walking frames. Both the shed and garden improvements were completed in June 2016 in time for a garden party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the opening of Abbeyfield House.
